To be Super (sign up)

The life of a superhero is never easy. Fighting crime in an evil invested city. Trying to lead a normal life while keeping your secret identity a secret. The list goes on and on and it's especially hard for those just starting down the path of a superhero, the reward of knowing that you did something good is reward enough. It's hard but some one has to clean up crime where the cops cannot. But remember for every superhero there is there's at least three super villains wanting to take them down.

I've got this idea a little while ago and thought it could be fun. So I've been tinkering with it for a little bit.

Name: Romulus Witcher
Alias: Ghost Wolf

powers: sigil magic, shamanism, see and talk to spirit animals, white wolf form

Bio: After several bouts of bad luck, Romulus became spiritual. He spent years alone in the Arizona desert studying shamanism specifically the native american version. One night, while meditating, he was pulled into the spirit realm by his spirit animal. There he learned that Romulus had gained the favor of the spirits. So they taught him many things that have been lost to humans, the biggest of which was sigil, or symbol, magic and the spirit animal transformation. After his training was complete Romulus moved to Chicago and set up an occult shop. When he saw the crime that the city held he decided to help the citizens by becoming Ghost Wolf.

Bio: Max was all ways good with technology. When ever some one he knew had a problem with an electronic device they would give it to Max and he would get it to work properly. It wasn't until he was sixteen that he realized that technology 'listened' to him. So he trained his gift and started experimenting with what he could create. After years of tinkering he finally finished his suit of technological armor. At first he had no idea what he was going to do with his suit, but after his sister was raped he knew. After that the streets of Chicago were a little bit safer under the watchful robotic eye of Technomaster.

Power Type: Mystic
Powers: A skilled swordsman. His main power comes from his ability to mimic an attackers abilities to an extent and use them to his advantage.

Job: Works at the local library.
Bio: A mysterious stranger that grew up in the slums of a distant town. Favoring the high life, he used his ability to secretly mimic the actions of others to con his way to riches, unfortunately gaining the distrust of the people. His own greed eventually got him overthrown by the kingpins of the city and was once again tossed to the bottom of the world he lived in. He realized that the life he lost wasn't as fulfilling as he had thought, thus donning his top hat and sword cane, he swore to pay back the city he had trampled on, help clean up the streets, and find that missing piece he so longs for. Working under the cover of night, he defends the helpless and fights the darkness of the city, with the self promise of never harming a lady, earning him the title of The Gentleman.

Powers: Capable of transforming any matter into any shape and/or object along as long as she can conceive it. Most adapt in archery, but has a general knowledge in most fighting styles. All of her fighting abilities are only human and trained though as well.

Bio: Raine was gifted at birth, with a power that her father feared and her mother did not understand. She never met her mother, whom died when she was a young girl, nor has he ever met his father, who left her shortly after her mother's death, blaming the death on her. At the age of four, Raine lived with her knowledgeable grandfather at the Vermillion Mansion, whom not only understood her ability but was able to farther teach her how to use it in ways she did not know or understand, even though he did not have the abilities himself. "Do not imagine just it's existence, imagine it's ideals as well." he taught so strongly whenever he can. Pressing the question of how he was so aware of her abilities, her grandfather would only answer, "In due time, in due time." She spent thirteen years of her life living with her grandfather, learning more about her abilities from the talentless old man, even learning how to use a bow and sword fight from him before the last remaining person in her life left her to a heart attack. Raine inherited her grandfather's mansion as well as all of his belongings at her death, but never the understanding of her powers, or why her grandfather, who was human in every since of the word, understood her abilities better then herself, the one who possesses them.

Despite what one would believe, she has felt that at heart her life has been a simple one, with only one unshakable confusion in her life, echoing "in due time, in due time..." One of her biggest passions has been reading, which is something she would sneak into her time whenever it is possible. With no old man to have her learn the way of her abilities, no need to support oneself with her grandfather's inheritance she took up writing her own books. Her life still felt empty though, with so many questions beating in her mind. She wanted to do something... productive. One day she decided to just up and take a walk through Chicago aimlessly until something called to her. The same day she witnessed someone being mugged before her and she stopped the mugging. Through this single event not only did she feel a sense of justice in helping the man, but she also felt closer to that answer. Such a insignificant, silly goal but it's not like she has any other cares in the world, nor pains or real worries. Given this, she continues to walk the streets of Chicago aimlessly to protect others, and find a path to follow.

I do feel as though I am merely repeating myself from a similar request to "The Powers That Be" in another RP, but again I find myself asking if it is alright if I throw something slightly off the path into the mix...
